Use AskiaDesign's screen mode to build (or automatically generate) your questionnaire's interviewing screens and manually customize their layout to your liking. To switch to screen mode, click screen mode (
) in the standard toolbar.
In screen mode, there are three tabs at the bottom of the left-hand pane. These allow you to change what the pane displays:
Questions: Shows the questions and other variables in the survey.
Screens: Shows the screens that display your questions.
Resources: Shows the multimedia resources (images, sounds and animations) available in the survey.

Questionnaires whose data is collected in askiavoice or askiaface are run exclusively on applications designed by Askia. This means that the layout of a questionnaire created in askiadesign is exactly what will be displayed during data-entry: What You See Is What You Get.
Questionnaires whose data is collected in AskiaWeb are managed by a system environment specified by Askia, but the questionnaire itself is displayed by a diverse and ever-evolving range of client applications. There are two factors that affect the appearance of your questionnaire:
The AskiaWeb system automatically generates a default layout for a questionnaire’s screens, viewable by any client application which follows the standardized specifications issued by the World Wide Web Consortium, www.W3C.org.
However, AskiaWeb allows you to fully customize a questionnaire’s layout. Because Internet technologies constantly progress, AskiaWeb was designed from its inception to allow the easy integration of new features, giving you maximum benefits and total flexibility. This means that you can use and integrate Internet programming languages, such as ASP, ASP.Net, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and PHP. Furthermore, apart from music or video files (such as: MP3, MPEG, MOV etc.), you can also integrate other Internet contents which depend on specific applications, such as Flash, Shockwave, SVG.
