New screen group

Creates a new screen group.

Open

Opens for editing the screen(s) currently selected in the left-hand pane.

Merge

Merges the screens currently selected in the left-hand pane.

Split

Splits one or more variables' elements from a merged screen into new, separate screens.

Delete

Deletes the screens currently selected in the left-hand pane.

Screen properties

Displays the properties of the screen(s) selected in the left-hand pane.

Generate from Existing

Generates the screen or screens according to the settings of an existing screen layout. You will be asked which screen layout you wish to use as the basis of the new screen/s. Note: The screens will be placed in the currently active group, replacing any existing screens in that group.

Generate Active Group

Generates the screen or screens in the active group, replacing any existing screens in that group.

Generate All

Generates all screens, replacing any existing screens.

Verify Active Group

Verifies the screens in the active group. AskiaDesign will scan through the questionnaire's data-entry mask and the screens in the group, and ensure that every visible question applicable to the group is assigned a screen.

Verify All

Verifies the questionnaire's screens. AskiaDesign will scan through the questionnaire's data-entry mask and the existing screens, and compare their mutual consistency (i.e. it will check to ensure that every visible question is assigned a screen).

Test Current Screen

Opens AskiaVoice/AskiaFace's preview of the current screen.

Alternatively, click  in the toolbar.

View Screen as HTML

Opens an AskiaWeb preview of the questionnaire, i.e. as it would appear in Internet Explorer.

Test Questionnaire

Allows you to test an AskiaVoice or AskiaFace questionnaire.
