Introduction to screen generation settings

These settings specify the default properties that askiadesign uses to generate screens and cells in screen mode.

They can be found in two locations:

• the generation tab of the library management dialog (this defines the default settings for all future generated screens), and

• by right-clicking a screen group in screen mode's left-hand pane and selecting properties (this changes the settings for that particular group).

To modify an existing template, right-click it and select edit. The screen generation dialog appears. Change the parameters you wish to modify and, to save them, click .

To create a new template, click .

To delete the selected template, click .

The properties available for a screen generation template or individual screen group are as follows.

• Screen Group

• Design

• Question

• Chapter

• Response

• Response block

• Open

• Numerical

• Label

• ListBox

• Combo box

• Loop item

• Button

It is also possible to override the Internet settings and screen properties at the template level, by using the other tabs (listed below). You can chose what you override (the header for instance) and leave the rest of the settings "as is". To do this, clear use default.
