Design tab (screen generation settings)

Note: this tab was previously called screen.

Background: specifies the cell’s background colour.
Font Colour: specifies the cell's font colour.
Toolbar: specifies the position of the Interviewer toolbar on screens.
Generate "Don’t Know" response: generates a cell for each closed question or loop which allows "Don’t Know".
Prefix answer with entry code: includes the entry code value as a prefix of the items' captions when generated.
Maximum responses per column: causes a closed question's screen to be generated with several columns of response items. For example, if you specify 10, and the closed question actually has 25 response items, its screen will display 3 columns of items.

It is possible to directly generate the closed questions with a response block's layout.

Single questions: specifies the response block used for generating the single closed questions.
Multiple questions: specifies the response block used for generating the multiple closed questions.
Question tables: specifies the response block used for generating the question tables (questions in loop).

Resource: specifies a resource which will be inserted in this cell.
Stretch: stretches an image resource to the full size of its containing cell.
Keep ratio width x height: ensures that, even if stretched, an image resource will keep its natural proportions.
Alignment: indicates the position of an image resource within its containing cell.
Dynamic code: specifies dynamic code for this resource. Askia can dynamically select a multimedia resource according to answer(s) given during data-entry. For example, file??Q1??.mp3. Select any resource in the combo-box.
